We’ve updated the race packet for 2013 and it can be found HERE. Course-wise nothing has changed from last year and just a few minor tweaks to the race weekend schedule. If you’re new to the Black Hills 100 events, the race packet is a good place to get a fairly detailed description of the course to give you and idea of what you’re in for.
In other news, preparations for the 2013 event are in high gear and coming along nicely. After a relatively dry winter, we’ve been getting quite a bit of rain in the past month, in addition to some heavy snow in April, so the Black Hills are currently just about as green as you will ever see them. Also, due to the moisture, the creeks (Bulldog and Elk) that were dry in 2012 are currently flowing. Hard to say if that will still be the case in another month, but for now plan accordingly and pack extra socks/shoes in your drop bags if you prefer dry feet. The trail handles moisture very well for the most part and is in great shape. We’re looking forward to another great year!
